Quite ambitious, especially for a '99 FM, but the further you go into the mission, the more sketchy and rough it becomes. There are a few cool little details here and there, especially in the beginning and it's worth checking out if you don't mind diving into early FMs experience.

Small, but competent. Well-structured. The area feels like an actual place, despite simple geometry. I also like that it doesn't enforce no-kill rule.

A few decently clever rooms and levers, but it's a very short mission. Not really worth it unless you're researching history of FMs.

Very simple layout, a lot of bugs, including not letting me finish the mission after I completed all objectives. I can only recommend this one to those interested in the beginnings of fan missions.

Pretty decent short trip, considering the challenge limitations. You need to find a few secrets to get the access to the desired artifact and then find the portal out. Loud floor, couple of guards. It's mostly about searching for hidden levers.

abstract lo-fi mission. maybe it's possible to complete the mission if you know japanese... i don't. so after killing bugbeasts and getting the house key, that doesn't open anything, i got stuck.

Arguably the best early FM, if you don't mind undead. There are a few sweet surprises, interesting level design, amazing atmosphere. I didn't play it back when it came out so I compare it to more modern creations. It holds up really well.

I don't like unfiltered textures in Thief, so I went into the files of the FM to enable texture filtering.

After that it was an excellent experience. The author has a great eye for beautiful environments. As soon as you emerge from the well, you're introduced to an epic sight. The mission is vertical with plenty of stairs, ladders, balconies...

The only thing that goes for this mission is structure and progression. Architecture is primitive and bland, but not in lo-fi way. Not much challenge outside a couple of guard groups. Bugs really prevented my advance and I spent unreasonable time dealing with the safe and it's content.

Took me some time to figure out how to get into the sealed area. Average in size, there's a bit of vertical action and supernatural. Texts are bad, but it shouldn't scare you off. Exploration overall is enjoyable.

Simple, OK-ish house heist. A few minor bugs aside, it's pretty neat. Nothing ambitious, but keeps you engaged. Doesn't really stay in your head afterwards.

Maybe it won't satisfy an average rooftopper, but it has some of the tallest roofs among fan missions. Thick rainy atmosphere compliments gothic architecture. The only thing I'm puzzled by is - why there are giant chains that connect buildings? Joking aside, it's one of the most popular and beloved FMs out there, so it's a good start for any new...

Even on expert it doesn't present much challenge. Interiors aren't complex, guard isn't frequent, loud surfaces are rare. And you will certainly have plenty of opportunity to practice rope arrow. Overall look and atmosphere are neat and lore-friendly. Spaces make sense, but they aren't ambitious. It's really hard to get lost and amount of routes...
