Hey folks, I've built a small website where you can compare one taffer's rating to another's, check it out if that sounds interesting. It was originally something very ugly and pragmatic I built for me and a few friends, but the scope has increased a bit and now it actually looks decent, so I thought I'd share it here, in case anyone is interested.
Because of the high member count I have to manually add users to the list, if you'd like to compare your ratings to those of others, just leave a comment on this thread and I'll add you to the site as soon as I find the time. Don't be shy, it's really no effort ;)

A while ago I've also made a somewhat similar site which presents an overview of all fan missions released up to 2024 which some people might find interesting. Sorry if your mission isn't featured, I saved the data in early January 2025, so it's slightly outdated when it comes to the ratings and list of missions; I might bring it up to date in the future, who knows.

Disclaimer: Neither of the two websites is officially supported or directly affiliated with Thief Guild, but I have received permission by Konrad aka Marzec (the owner of Thief Guild)

Haha the first one is funny, please add me in there! Second one is cool

I've added you both, you might need to refresh the website a few times because of browser caching. At the end of 2025 I'll refresh the data of the second chart (FM plotter), it'll be interesting to see where Acquiring New Ventures will sit, it seems to be an absolute smash hit debut!
Feel free to give suggestions what could be done with a combination of user ratings and mission data. Some things I'm planning to do soon:
- show the average rating per genre of the two users
- list some controversial ratings where the users agree on
- maybe some solo stats and a chart with user vs ThiefGuild average (instead of user vs user)
Also, because the rating comparison is still in a rather early state, I'd love to hear what chart settings work best for you, maybe I can set those as defaults or make some other adjustments. I'm heading off to Rocksbourg for now, but after that, I'll work on some new features. I will still be checking this thread daily to add names to the list, though!

Another neat visualization from Leon 👍 It visualizes not only how much the ratings differ between two users, but also in which areas they differ!

Please add me! I've got quite a few ratings for popular missions at this point. Awesome site!

No problemo, I've added you to the list. I'm glad to hear you like it, thanks!
I've been busy again, and two new features have arrived (earlier than I initially planned, but I woke up feeling motivated)!
The first addition is than you can now see "Top 5 Overrated/Underrated Missions" on the left. I'm not quite satisfied with the name, because it might not be intuitive at first, but here's how it works:
It checks on which missions the users roughly agree on (maximum difference of 1), and then compares them to the ThiefGuild average ratings. "Underrated" means both users have rated the missions higher than the TG average, and "overrated" means both users have rated it lower than the TG average.
A more accurate (but way too verbose) description would be: "Both users rated these missions similarly and also much lower/higher than the TG average". But for now, it'll remain as overrated/underrated, from the perspective of the two users.
The second addition is a whole new chart, accessed through the new tab section near the top of the screen. Here you can compare how both users rate the different genres on average. It's a bit messy, therefore you can scroll by dragging the left mouse button and zoom by scrolling with your mouse wheel (confusing choice, but not one made by me). Maybe in the future the list of genres could be reduced to remove some of the less important ones (like misc. buildings, or foreign language, which doesn't really tell you that much) and could also be shown in numerical form for people who prefer looking at numbers rather than bar charts. Oh, and you can also click on the colored square next to the username to hide it in case you only want to see one user's genre ratings. Or hide them both if you want to, then you can enjoy an empty chart :D

Something I forgot to mention, if you've got friends or just other users you'd like to see added to the list, just let me know.
And another small thing: To prevent any possible slowdown of Thief Guild, the way I'm adding users is basically taking a snapshot of their current ratings, so it'll be outdated after a while, but I could do a refresh each month.

Done! I remember you rated lots of early, lesser known missions for a while and that makes me think... It could be cool to see the amount of missions both selected users have rated because it might make it easier to find actually interesting comparisons. But users GarrettTMT, Jonfeldt, and Morente have rated so many missions that there's bound to be some overlap, at least.
Edit: A number which tells you the amount of missions both users have rated has been added. And as a little bonus, I added a section which shows user A's favorites (rated 9 or 10) user B hasn't rated yet, and vice versa.

this is such a neat visualization! If you're able to add me that would be great :^)

Sure, no problem, I've added you. Though I see you've given my favorite missions some rather low ratings, so I'd be sure to double-check the locks of my doors come nightfall if I were you... >:)
And I've also pushed out a couple of new features I've been working on :> I'm glad this little project is turning into something quite interesting and entertaining for my fellow taffers!

At some stage when you're not fielding all the "Add me! Add me!" requests, it might be interesting to be able to further filter the data by game. For instance, comparing my ratings with Morente's it *looks* like I give higher ratings to T1/T2 missions than they do, and they seem to rate T3 missions a bit higher than me. It'd be interesting to get a better look at that data.

You're making it sound like adding users is taking time away from developing new features, but it only takes around 20 seconds to add a new user, so keep those requests coming :P
Yeah, filtering the underlying data by games is a good idea; I was planning on implementing it way earlier but I kind of got sidetracked with adding new charts and making the whole thing a bit fancier. But that'll be the next thing I'm going to add! Thanks for the suggestion, I'd love to hear more of them because I'm slowly running out of ideas what could be added :S I'm constantly looking for new ways to display the data, but different ways of filtering it could be a good set of features!

Filtering by game has been implemented, feel free to let me know if you'd like the list of games adjusted! I've taken the liberty to group Thief: The Dark Project and Thief Gold together, and to hide Thievery UT and 'unknown', but I can easily change that.

Add me! Add me! On a serious note, thank you for your hard work - very cool tool! I have a small suggestion, you may want to change "favorites [User] hasn't played yet" to "hasn't rated yet".
(And yes, I would appreciate if you could add me)

Good catch Aemanyl, that definitely makes more sense. I've added you both to the list!
Also, I've pushed out another large update! It enables you to filter by mission genres and allows you to click on a mission to see the rating distribution.
Because that second feature might be a bit hidden, I've also added a little ( ? ) button to the top, where I'll add some tips and tricks. Of course I'll try to keep everything intuitive, but I haven't found a way to indicate that missions are now suddenly clickable and I don't want to bombard users with popups :>

It looks like the site will be unavailable for a few hours because I'm experiencing a technical issue with my host (GitHub), sorry!
But when it's finally back, it'll be better than ever :P

The site is back online as of now with the following new features:
- Removed TG Average from users and instead added new 'User Profile' mode (tab located at the top)
- Now includes all users with at least 10 ratings, and all non-demo/abandoned missions (also campaign and OMs) as of 20/08/2025
- Overhauled anti-overlap algorithm for large comparisons with two different settings
- Settings are now saved locally in your browser (using localStorage, no cookies)
- You can now 'add friends' which are then shown in the mission details for comparison
- New custom right click menu for the missions on the charts and in the lists
- Ability to filter by campaign, also campaigns now get highlighted with a black outline
I probably forgot some smaller stuff, but that's it for now.
I'm taking a break from developing the site, I'm not 100% satisfied with it yet, but it's been eating up all my free time of the last 10 days or so, and I'd like to focus on some other things for now. I want to thank all the thieves and taffers who have shown interest in the site! It's been a fun little project for me :)
