The ending of T2 was a bit poor. That's not a contreversial statement. Casing, and masks, are both very low quality, and Kidnap is only slightly better.
It makes sense, therefore, to imagine alternitives, ways to improve this final sequence. This mission is arguably, in concept, a welcome addition to thief Canon.

The trial contest was not a good contest. Of it's four entries, one was unfinished, one was awful, and the third one was... subpar.

Clearly a lot of effort went to create this campaign, but some design decisions inexplicably hampered gameplay where it became a chore in some missions. This FM is in many ways, encourages some of the purest gameplay out there. No Looting, no blackjack, nothing but stealth, and exploration. For the majority of the mission, you can't be seen, can't harm anyone, and can't take any shiny loot. That in itself is enough to make the mission stand out.

Full Moon Fever is not very original mission: there is no abundance of scripted events, the plot itself is not complicated that much like Ominous Bequest or Rowena's Curse.
