I actually didn't find MIM to be "hard" - I found the level metrics annoying.
It felt like a nuisance to get around for me. It's constructed as an obstacle course and the congestion later on just makes it annoying in some places.

i'm mawedgone and i've been playing thief gold for a few years now. It's quickly become one of my favorite games of all time T2 is also really good but i'm not quite as in love with it as the original. my favorite missions are The Haunted Cathedral & Shipping and Recieving.
I love claustrophobic and vertical missions, and my preferred playstyle is "anything goes" taking my time and ironmanning levels.
