Commissioned to find a stolen painting, you infiltrate a cave complex inhabited by a gang of thieves. It's a simple setup, no fuss, just straight into the action. There's a lot of nice touches that emerge over the course of the mission: a really cool spider cave, the nasty things some of the thieves have been up to, and plenty of buried hidden loot to discover.
The layout's a bit strange though. It's not clear to me how anyone gets into or out of the caves, or how the thieves can possibly move their cargo around.
This is one mission that's benefited from improvements in the Dark Mod over the years. Jumping, mantling, and ledge-grabbing are much smoother than they were in 2010 and now clambering around the level is an absolute joy, when previously it was maybe just a tough laborious. It might now be a bit easier than Jesps intended, but the better gameplay more than makes up for it.
