In Plain Sight has very simple setup: you are the spy sent into town of Watchgate to investigate rumours about uprising of local elites and - at the same time - to find out what happened with your predecessor. Since you are an undercover agent, your disguise is a daring thief who commits a series of robberies to avert suspicions about the real motive behind your interference. So in general, mission plays as typical thief mission (though loot goal is optional) with some detective work.
The layout of Watchgate is basically chain of small locations-sandboxes. It is not big and high (though some rooftop climbing will pay off with additional coin or hint), but packed with apartments, secrets, inns, and even has a bank. The ways in sometimes are not obvious, but - as usual in the good city missions - reading and paying attention to surroundings are the keys to success! The plot itself is not complicated (though there are some twists that may affect gameplay a bit, especially near the end), but mission rewards reading by giving new details, hints and quests, optional and mandatory - similarly to Chronicles of Skulduggery or recent Noble Affairs. In general, it's nice mission which plays safe a bit and still (in version 1.4) has some slight bugs, but if you like missions with mysterious plot to uncover and city missions with linear structure, which gradually unfolds - you may spend good time with it.
