For playing this you don't need to have a copy of Thief
This mission in the demo is identical to "Life of the Party" in Thief 2 but they are not the same! For example the humans in the demo are more low poly and look the same as in The Dark Project. Anglewatch is also changed. In the demo there is an open window on the fourth floor and there is a ladder to climb to the upper rooms of the castle. In Thief 2 they are replaced by an elevator. There are also less secrets in the demo and objectives are a bit different. The most notable changes are :

-In thief 2 the mission is in daylight but in the demo it's night time.
-The hilarious conversation between the Lady Vernon and Master Willy has been changed.
-The second approach to the tower was removed
-The map contains an altered version of Thief II: The Metal Age: Life of the Party.
-The Thieves Highway is slightly longer, and is slightly more complex.
-One of the arguing guards has a different voice, and the housebreakers use alternate dialogue.
-The drunk guard had a buddy, who was placed on the roof edge; In the full game, he has fallen.

Contains a highly altered version of the M11 briefing T2 b11.

►Handlung:
Vom mittelalterlich anmutenden dunklen Zeitalter zu Überwachungskameras und kanonenbesetzten Kampfrobotern? Es handelt sich um dieselbe Stadt aus dem Vorgänger, die nun die Aufschwungsphase der Mechanisten miterlebt – ein explosionsartig gewachsener religiöser Orden, der sich von den Hammeriten abspaltete. Deren im Vergleich geradezu rückständige Dampfmaschinen wichen somit ausgeklügelterer Mechanik, die sich rasant über die gesamte Stadt ausbreitete und mit offenen Armen empfangen wurde.

Angetan von dieser neuen Glaubensrichtung unter demselben Gott, dem Erbauer, und der Führung des charismatischen Ordensoberhaupts Karras, wechselte der Großteil der Gläubigen zu ihnen über. Selbst ehemalige Ordensbrüder drehten nun den Hammeriten den Rücken zu, die somit all ihre Macht einbüßten und doppelt abgelöst wurden: Als Kirche von den Mechanisten und als Gesetz von der Stadtwache.
