I was ready to deem this an 8 or 9 most of the way through the mission, but now I fear a 7 is too generous. This is a nice-looking, well-designed, very large level that just keeps going. I was really impressed by the rooftop section, the number of guards, the hidden loot, and even parts of the story. There were quite a few, 'oh, neat!' moments.
At first, the minor annoyances didn't bother me. I got stuck a few times. I entered a kitchen to see 2 servants walking in place while absolutely nothing blocked their path. There were many sound brush errors, and the sky brush was used in a way that if you look or move the right way, the entire world before you simply disappears. They also used ladders a bit too much for my liking. If that sounds picky, you haven't tried jumping puzzles involving Thief ladders. The endgame was a bit of a nightmare, given how you had to rely on rope arrows and ladders.
But even after all this, all I could think of was how this felt like a proper Thief level that spanned several distinct mission types. Until I reached the end. It was when I portaled to a simple room with no way out that I realized the mission wasn't ending. There was apparently an objective that didn't occur naturally. I had missed a note or something. And here I am. Stuck. Forever. While the mission was fun and very big, the end was far too frustrating for me to restart the whole thing just to find the one single thing I had missed. So I opted for the uninstall button instead. The use of ladders and ropes, and no clear hint on what to do at the very end, had this mission's charm wane far off into the distance.
I guess a 7 is how I compliment it and curse it at the same time. A mission ending bug, especially that far into such a lengthy mission is unforgivable and this deserves a much lower score for that... but given the size, scope, and fun the mission has, I'm forcing myself to realize that the mission still "ended", just missing one scroll (or whatever evidence I didn't get was).
So my recommendation is to play it and enjoy, but keep checking your objectives and hope that you understand which ones are related to the keep and which ones need to be completed beforehand... I can't steer you as I'm still not sure where the one I didn't get was.
