This one has a slow start. When first breaking out of your cell it feels like the guard pathing and lighting is another gimmick to make the mission feel harder than it is. But a little patience and the level breaks out and does some interesting things. One the down side I found I was save scumming to avoid gotchas even though the gotchas, in hindsight, weren't that many or that bad.
I think the only issue I had were barrels that I could walk through.
Possibly another frustration might be the loot requirement of 500. I had 499 when entering the last room of the mission and was expecting the worst. I then found 1 piece of loot in that last room to put me barely over the goal and I immediately left the room to end the mission. Guess what? I found ALL the loot! This could be very problematic for people that missed any. On the plus side, I don't remember any of the loot being particularly hard to find, but I would have not enjoyed retracing my steps for missing 1 piece.
It was a fun experience and a few rooms were even above par for original Thief Gold.
