I usually welcome the shadows, a place of refuge for a master thief like me. However, there are dark places that even I fear. That place being the plague ward at the edge of town. Rumour has it that it was cursed by a pagan witch and it's inhabitants died from an incurable plague. In an effort to stop the plague spreading, the city council ordered that part of the city be walled off.
A couple of days ago I was contacted by a mage, who was offering a very generous sum of cash in return for retrieving a valuable artifact called the Dragon's Claw. The only snag is it's in the plague ward. No one has been brave or foolish enough to enter the place since it was bricked up. So in addition to my main task, I should keep an eye out for some loot.
Although it's inhabitants have long since passed away there have been rumors of sounds coming from inside, so I need to be wary. Once I retrieve the artifact, I am to meet the mage at the Serpentine tavern.
