This is very interesting at first. There is a market where you are meant to find items to barter for your gear. I like the concept. But it doesn't work. I get attacked approaching one of the tables I'm meant to barter at... and since the item I need to barter for is my sword and blackjack, there really isn't much I can do. On the other extreme, I went into a place filled with guards that I clearly wasn't meant to enter and they were all completely blind, allowing me to steal things right in front of their faces while occasionally, one would say, "did you hear that?".
I ran around the mission for a bit to see if I could enjoy the rest of it, and as much as I wanted to, I really couldn't. The square box rooms aren't even aligned correctly. It's a fairly plain, very square build that falls apart as soon as you try and play. Doors aren't aligned, steps aren't sized correctly and the npcs that are meant to allign to a specific faction are completely broken.
I applaud the effort and idea, but when it doesn't work, there is little left to be said.
Oh, and I find the plot abysmal. Garret, the master thief, gets drunk, passes out and the whole town loots his body. Really? This simply isn't fun to role play on any level. I get the anti-hero concept, but this mission has you play the drunk, gluttonous, idiotic, buffoon. No thanks.
I managed to check off all the objectives except getting back my sword and blackjack, but every time I approached those tables in the market, 20 guards and townspeople started chasing after me... kind of like going to the mall for me.
