Vagabond by Random_Taffer is a lovely short (ish) city mission. I'm surprised it hasn't had more reviews.
It starts with the protagonist, Darren, finding himself homeless. (I must admit all the Darrens that I have ever met haven't been prone to assassination - or maybe they did but were very good at it). Darren starts without any weapons or tools but that's not a problem as early guards and other members of the population are non-aggressive.
The mission builds, as does the story, as it goes along with further objectives being added.
Nothing too difficult but a very enjoyable hour. (I missed a secret so I'll go back and try to find it). There were some humorous parts and it was good to hear some real English accents in there (nicked, according to the notes).

Can you tell me how you played this mission? As in, on which version of Thief?
I tried on both ND1.28 and 1.27, and the spooky "pest" that appears in the house (supposed to run past the doorway) doesn't start moving.

I'm still on ND1.27.
I didn't realise the spooky pest had supposed to move - it just stood at the end of the corridor. I was expecting it to chase me at some point but ... nothing.

Ah yeah. It's supposed to run past the door when you approach it. Noticed that in one of FenPhoenix' videos. Sadly I wouldn't know what the cause is. The author isn't too interested in checking it out (makes sense for a mission this old). Who knows, hopefully there will be a solution at some point.
At least the mission is beatable. I thought the goblin would open up the fireplace or something.

I didn't see Fen's video on this one. I always enjoy his walkthroughs.
