* Briefing *

I've been contacted lately in The Drunken Deer by a self-described old friend of
Mr. Wolfgang Handspiegel, a local industrialist, philanthropist and an avid reader.
He stated that after Mr. Handspiegel lost both of his kids to the
Fungal Mist epidemic last year, he stopped contacting his former colleagues.
Exchanging only letters from time to time, and locked in his mansion with his wife,
Mr. Handspiegel was overwhelmed with grief.
My employer haven't heard a word from Mr. Handspiegel for 3 months now, and
is getting worried, the mansion is locked shut and noone answers the doors.
My job is to check up on Handspiegel's family, and if possible, retrieve a rare
volume from my employer's library, that Mr. Handspiegel borrowed 4 months ago.
Book he refused to describe, but assured me I'll recognize it when i find it.
For the price he offers me for it I'll turn that place upside down.
He handed me a crude handwritten map of the place from the memory of his
last visit there, but I shouldn't count on it. I shoved it into my pocket and left
the inn.
