They say that there are two things guaranteed in life. Death and taxes. Well, two other things are guaranteed in mine. Keeper influence and the rent. The Keepers have been laying low since the end of The Trickster but of course, the rent is due. My new fence hooked me up with a museum curator by the name of Burgess Pharen who's looking for someone to acquire a treasure for him to display. The piece he's looking for is actually a golden skeleton from a long ago lord and Burgess thinks it's just the thing to get paying customers in.
This golden skeleton is located where any good skeleton should be kept, underground in a crypt and like any good crypt, I hear this one is haunted by the not-so-peaceful dead. The Hammers have closed it off in fear of what lurks down there which makes me even more squeamish. I've also managed to find out through various sources that I'm not the first person that has attempted to descend down to recover this skeleton, though those who have haven't made it out to tell the story.
Time to cash in a favor or two with the Hammers for some holy water and see about getting myself paid.
